Candidate: Dan Turner

Dan currently serves as one of the lay elders at Veritas Community Church in Dayton. He regularly preaches, counsels, and also leads a Community Group (similar to a UBC Growth Group). He is married to Lisa, and together they have four children, and two grandchildren. Dan earned his D.Min. in Biblical Theology from SBTS, and has over 20 years of pastoral experience. He finds much enjoyment in caring for and shepherding God's people.

Dan is no stranger to UBC. Last September, Dan served as our guest preacher and contributed to our Genesis sermon series. A link to his sermon recording can be found below. Dan will once again be preaching at UBC on Sunday, March 2nd, as we continue through the book of Genesis, and we invite you to take advantage of this opportunity to hear from him and get to know him before our church members vote on him joining our staff at our next Members’ Meeting on March 23rd.

Job Description

The Director/Pastor of Biblical Formation and Community Life (D/PFC) will be responsible for supporting and extending the pastoral ministry of the Lead Pastor, while helping people at UBC know Christ biblically and relationally through their participation in the group life of our church.
