Mark 12:28-34 - The great commandment

This week in our Mark series, we walked through Mark 12:28-34 and the two most important commandments of all, “love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength” (Mark 12:30) and to “love your neighbor as yourself” (Mark 12:31). Pastor Jason helped us to see how so many in Jesus’ day and our own culture today, can be so close to God and his people by religious activity, but so far away by having no sincere love for God or our neighbor. More than ritualistic obedience, God is after the affection of our hearts and earnest love for our brothers and sisters.
