Acts - Week 30

Sunday, September 4, 2022

Picking back up in Acts, we find Paul and Barnabas continuing their evangelistic mission in the city of Iconium.  Our attention is focused on how they shared the Gospel and then the mixed results.

  1. Read Acts 14:1-7

  2. Have volunteers look up the following passages and then reflect on the way we share the Gospel.

  3. Has anyone ever been in a situation where you’ve seen a great number of people turn to the gospel?

  4. Has anyone had someone try to “poison” your mind about the things of Christ?

    • Those (family, friends) who have questioned your commitment to the things of Christ?

  5. In verses 5-7 we learn how the gospel both unites and divides.

    • Why such a harsh reaction?

    • What was Jason’s reason (tip:  calling sinners to repentance)?

    • Does anyone have any personal examples?

  6. Jason’s first application point:  “God has you where you are in order to make Christ known.”

    • Where has God put you?

    • Whom has He placed in your path?

    • How can you make Christ known?

  7. How does the Lord’s Supper teach us about both the division and unity encountered in sharing the Gospel?

  8. List specific “lost” people you are praying for and then spend time praying for them by name.
