Generations: Week 1
Sunday May 10, 2020
Take some time to read II Timothy 1:5-7 and Matthew 28:18-20.
Were there any specific points in the sermon that really stuck out to you?
Does your family have a history of “generations of faith”?
Describe a time when someone invested their sincere faith in you. (Who is your Lois, Eunice, or Paul?)
Have you ever discipled someone else?
What things were most impactful in that process?
Are you tempted to think that discipleship is someone else’s responsibility?
How have you seen complacency or fear creep into your life?
How can we fight against them?
In the sermon, Phil said “sincere faith is shared faith” and “a true gospel saves you AND sends you.” Are there any “easy gospels” that you’ve bought into?
How does the true Gospel confront them?
As you think of being both a disciple and disciple-maker, who are the people that God is showing you to build intentional relationships with?
What are the regular rhythms of your life?
How can you invite people into those regular rhythms?
What are 1 or 2 of the most pivotal things the Lord has taught you in your walk with Him?
What are some ways that you can share those things with the people you’ve invited into the rhythms of your life?
