Make a big deal out of Jesus
What is your 15 second testimony?
15 Second Testimony layout
“There was a time in my life when…”
“But then I met Jesus and He forgave me and called me to follow Him…”
“Now I …”
“Do you have a story like that?”
Please have everyone practice and share. (If this takes your whole group time, it’s fine!)
As you think about your story and how God is calling you to share it, consider 1 Peter 3:15, Revelation 12:10-11, and 1 Thessalonians 2:3-5. How might these passages help you form your testimony?
Are you one who has illegitimized your own testimony? How does your perspective on the “raised in a Christian home” story need to shift?
Paul openly shares his testimony and mission even though the Jews are inflamed by his words and action. Are you tempted to seek approval of others? Are there ways you skirt key issues, areas of your story, or the Gospel in order to appease others? Please share.
The Jews prepared to attack Paul when he spoke of his mission to the Gentiles. Jewish prejudice and elitism led to embittered hatred towards non-Jews. They were blinded by their own hate and could not see the work of God.
What are some ways we see these patterns of human sin today?
Consider Colossians 3:11 and Galatians 2:11-14
What are the traps and snares we fall into when talking about racial prejudices and bias? How can we allow the Gospel to change our perspective?
“What God does in you, he does through you.” Discuss this statement and close out your time together in prayer.
