Make Him Known - Week 3 - Generationally

Sunday, October 17, 2021

  1. Do you have any new questions about the Make Him Known campaign?

    • How has God challenged/encouraged you during this campaign?

  2. At the beginning of the sermon, Jason talked about “teaching songs” that are often taught to kids to help them learn or know something important. What teaching songs do you still remember from your childhood and what was the point that they taught?

  3. This week we jump into our 3rd emphasis of the Make Him Known series - to make Him known GENERATIONALLY. Read Psalm 78:1-8 aloud. (This psalm was written as a teaching song as well.)

  4. What does it mean to make Christ known generationally?

  5. Who first taught you the truth about Jesus?

    • Whose teaching was most impactful in your understanding of Jesus?

  6. Why is it important to make Christ known generationally? Why does it matter?

  7. Looking at verses 7-8, what happens when generations are taught the things of God?

    • What happens when that teaching is neglected from one generation to the next?

  8. Do you have regular interaction with younger generations? If so, how might God want you to help them know Him? (Be practical. Think about your daily/weekly interactions.)

  9. Take some time to pray for:

    • The parents in your group to faithfully make Jesus the most important person in their home.

    • UBC’s kids & students to truly know Christ and share Him with their friends & family.

    • Pray for those that are leading our kids & student ministries each week to have wisdom in how to best help UBC’s next generation to truly Know Jesus and make Him known.

  10. This week, try to send a word of encouragement to 3 of the people you prayed for above.
