Acts - Week 17

Sunday, May 29th, 2022

  1. What is one thing that costs a lot, but is totally worth it? Why is it worth the cost to you? (non-spiritual - don’t take this too seriously yet)

  2. As we get into the sermon content from this week, read Acts 6:8-15 to learn a bit about Stephen.

  3. What are some of the words used to describe Stephen?

    • As you read those descriptions, do you have any people in your life that this reminds you of?

  4. In your opinion, why would a person who is described in such a positive way receive the pushback and accusations that he did?

    • Have you ever experienced anything like that?

  5. What do Luke 12:11-12 & Luke 21:12-15 tell us about how we should respond in those times of opposition or persecution?

    • Does this feel like an encouragement or a challenge to you?

  6. What has following Christ cost you?

    • How have you been reminded that the cost was worth the price?

  7. In the sermon, Rob encouraged us to be faithful in the small. As you consider the spheres of life that you are in, what are some of the “small roles” that God is calling you to be faithful in?

    • As you consider the individuals in your group, what are some of the small things that they do that still make a real impact?

  8. Rob also called us to remember how God goes before us, fights for us, and is with us during trials like this. How has God reminded you that He is with you in your times of opposition?
