Sunday, July 3rd, 2022

  1. Just for fun - our passage for this week includes a couple people with interesting/funny names like Aeneas and Dorcas. In your opinion, what are some of the funniest sounding names in the Bible?

  2. Read Acts 9:32-43

  3. This passage covers a couple of amazing miracles. Jason reminded us that all miracles have the same origin AND the same purpose - what are they? (See Jason’s thoughts here and here)

    • How do we see this origin and purpose in the healing of Aeneas? (vs 32-35)

  4. Verses 36-39 talk about Tabitha - what do we know about her?

    • Does she remind you of anyone in your life?

  5. After Tabitha had died, the disciples in Joppa heard that Peter was near and urged him to come. Why do you think they did this?

    • If you found yourself in a situation like this, who would you call and urge to help? Why?

  6. How do we see the origin & purpose of miracles in the story of Tabitha? (see Question 3)

  7. Have you ever witnessed a miracle similar to what is described in this passage?

    • Do you ever struggle to believe that God can do the seemingly impossible?

  8. What did Jason mean when he said “Don’t miss the greater spiritual miracle for the lesser physical miracle”?

    • Why is it so important for us to remember this in our daily interactions with hurting people… especially those who are intently praying for God’s help?

  9. How does this passage encourage or challenge you?
