  • Find help in the people of the Word

  • Find help in the God of the Word

  1. Who in the group is a weather person?

  2. Acts 27:10 Paul warns the centurion and sailors of the coming danger and they do not listen. Is there a time when you received a Godly warning and did not heed it? Please share.

  3. Where did Paul most recently receive a vision from the Lord telling him he would go to Rome? (Acts 23:11)

  4. How should we understand Paul’s recounting of his dream in verses 23-25?

  5. The soldiers and sailors through the chapter began to trust the voice of Paul. Who are the people of the Word around you who you trust?

  6. What does it mean to be practical but also theological? (27:33-36)

  7. How can you trust God but also act?

  8. Compare Mark 4:35-41 and Jonah 1:4-16 with our passage in Acts 27.

  9. How does the Lord use natural powers to affect our circumstances?

  10. What does Jesus’ power over the storm communicate about his sovereignty over our circumstances?

  11. What do literal storms or figurative storms teach us about our relationship with God?
