  • The story of the world is seen in God’s work with God’s people, and we are part of that story.

Two Attributes of God We Learn From Genealogies

  1. God is sovereignly working out his plan of redemption

  2. God is trustworthy

Application From Genealogies

  • Trust in God’s plan (“God is taking us to his place at our pace”)

  • Engage in God’s mission

Questions For Greater Discussion

  • What does it mean to “walk with God”? A Christian term but seen in the life of Adam and in this chapter, Enoch. Consider Colossians 2:6-7. How does the Apostle Paul understand we should walk with God?

  • What are some ways you can grow in your patience through the mundane? How do you need to trust in Him in your waiting?

  • Read 2 Corinthians 4:16-18. How do you need to zoom out and see the greater story of redemption God is working out on our behalf?

  • What does it mean for you to “make war on complacency” and see your life leveraged for the mission of God?

  • How can you become a disciple of Jesus in “the nitty gritty” ?

    • Church life, family life, personal life etc.

  • Consider Luke 10:17-20
