Questions For Greater Discussion

  • Verse 9 identifies Noah as one who walked with God. What does it mean to walk with God exactly? Is this morality? Relationship? Obedience to God? Consider Galatians 5:16 and and Micah 6:8.

  • What are some ways you struggle with obedience to God? How can we encourage you as a group towards “walking blamelessly” before the Lord in obedience?

  • Consider Ephesians 4:30-32. What is it that grieves the Holy Spirit?

  • Why is God’s wrath critical to our understanding of the Gospel? How does the story of Noah reveal the depth of God’s mercy?

  • Is there unrepentant sin you need to deal with? What is one way you want to make war on sin in your life by bringing it into the light? Who is one person you can confess your sin to? If you don’t have someone, ask.

  • Consider 2 Peter 3:11-12. What does it look like for us to hasten the coming of the Lord?
